ObserveIT analyzes every user session recording to extract textual metadata. The metadata that ObserveIT captures allows you to drill-down in audit reports by specific user id or server name. You can also perform full-text search to find the relevant user sessions.

All the relevant session info

For every Windows session, ObserveIT captures and stores window titles, applications launched, filenames that were accessed, user interface text and more.

For Unix and Linux sessions, ObserveIT captures commands, system calls and resources affected by each user command.

• Every file create/delete/open/permission change, process creation and link creation is fully exposed. (ex: If the user runs an alias script named innocentScript that includes system calls to delete files and change user permissions, this info will also be captured.)
• Every file or resource touched by wildcard commands is identified.(ex: If the user types rm *.txt, ObserveIT will show the exact name of each file that was deleted)
