"Vocalink" An international payment transaction specialist firm:

This firm has an automated payment platform processing tens of millions transactions on a peak day and a switching platform connecting the world’s busiest ATM network of over 50,000 ATMs. The firm was created based on a merger between two clearing and transactions firms. During the merger, the IT managers had to control the access to the combine servers, achieve common management as well as visibility and accountability.

Solution

Installed ObserveIT solutions (management console and servers agents) to monitor and audit the IT activities during and after the merger.


"Coca-Cola" A Global beverage manufacturer:

A multinational manufacturer of popular beverages, with presence over 200 countries. At one of the franchisees, the company rolled-out a new ERP application. Its sales agents on-the-road had complained about the serviceability of the ERP services. In addition, the firm had outsourced its IT services to a 3rd party.

Solution

In order to improve its internal users' experience, ObserveIT solutions were deployed to track down the lack of usability. Using the detailed logs, the company proved that the complaints originated from lack of familiarity with the new capabilities of the ERP application. In addition, in order to increase the level of security, 20 server ObserveIT Server agents have been deployed.


"HaPoalim" A leading Israeli Bank:

Israel’s leading financial group and largest bank, has a significant presence in global financial markets. In Israel, the Group has over 260 full-service branches, eight regional business centers, and industry desks for major corporate customers.
The full service branches focus on households, professionals, small businesses, mortgage banking and soon pension advisory services. The bank is outsourcing its IT activities to one of Israel's largest IT firms. In 2004, Israel’s Supervisor of Banks enacted Regulation 357 based in part on the Basel 2 Accord and somewhat similar to the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The new regulation requires banks to, among other things, maintain a full audit trail based on computerized recordings (logs) of access, transactions and queries performed in their information systems. The logs should include the identity of the person accessing the systems, the place, time and particulars of the transaction, such as the account number accessed and the type of access (i.e. read, update, delete). The records management systems should also warn designated parties within the organization of unauthorized external activities as well as exceptional activities of the various types of users, as defined by the bank management. Based on the stringent requirements mentioned above, the bank wished to audit the 3rd party access to its servers, as well as introduce a mean of surveillance on the access to its sensitive financial data.

Solution

The bank has deployed over 300 ObserveIT Server agents on its domestic network, as well as over 10 agents on its international network. With this, the bank has achieved full control on the external access to its most precious IT resources, and met regulation 357.


"ZIM" Israel's leading international maritime logistic company:

The Company is a diversified transportation and logistics company, providing innovative global logistics solutions for a wide range of clients worldwide. With over 120 representative offices world-wide, and many more freight agents, the company has intense around the clock severs activity. The company faced potential issues of security both from external and internal users.

Solution

This Company has integrated over 25 ObserveIT Servers agents to address the auditing issues it was facing. After the successful deployment, the numerous transactions were recorded and analyzed.


Clal Insurance:

Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Limited Formerly known as Clal Insurance Holdings Limited. The Group's principal activity is the provision of all accepted insurance, including life, general, health, financial, credit and surety bond insurance. It is also involved in the operation of pension and provident funds and investing activities. Provision of all accepted insurance, including life, general, health, financial, credit and surety bond insurance. Clal had to comply with the financial market compliance regulations, as well as monitor the privileged access to its immense IT network by its sub-agents.

Solution

Clal deployed over 400 ObserveIT Sever agents to address the need for increased security, improved privileged external access and meeting the tough compliance regulations.


"UTI" An international logistic company:

This company is a broad-based, information-focused company offering a wide range of global integrated logistics to a customer base that stretches worldwide. The company offers major regional and international companies enhanced warehousing; transportation services that include air, ocean and ground; manufacturing support; freight forwarding; customs brokerage; contract logistics and a host of other services. The company deployed an ERP application from a 3rd party and did not pass SOX compliance due to lack of visibility of the 3rd party access to its advanced IT infrastructure.

Solution

The company purchased a number of ObserveIT server agents to closely monitor the activity on their scattered servers.


"Logicalis" A leading International ICT provider:

An international provider of integrated information and communications technology (ICT) solutions , specializing in delivering secure converged computing and communications infrastructure and services with operations in UK, US, Germany and throughout Latin America, won managed servers contracts. The customers demanded SLA with an ability to monitor the activities on their servers. SLA assurance and employees access supervision were part of the prestigious contracts, and solutions as well as results had to be presented on a daily basis.

Solution

This ICT provider deployed ObserveIT Gateway solution. All the employees had to go through a virtual gateway for authentication, before being granted to access their employer's servers. This was, the ICT provider as well as the employer could closely monitor the people who accessed the servers (which had on them ObserveIT Server Agents), as well as audit the activity on the servers.

Solution

This provider used ObserveIT's Gateway solution, comprising of ObserveIT management console and multiple server agents. "Tyne & Wear" District Authority in the UK:

A metropolitan county in the northern part of the UK, with over 1 million citizens wished to use the Government Connect. Government Connect is a pan-government program providing an accredited and secure network between central government and every local authority in England and Wales. The network is known as GCSX (Government Connect Secure Extranet). GCSX is part of the wider Government Secure Intranet (GSi) and provides connectivity to nearly all central departments (Scottish local authorities have already established a similar network known as the Government Secure Extranet (GSx). In addition, the county planned to participate in the e-Transfer project. The e-Transfer Project is intended to support the electronic transfer of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Benefit claim data, using a small server (the Data Transfer Applicance – DTA) at local authority sites, connected to GCSX. In order to achieve these ambitious goals, the county IT staff had to practice compliance with the Code of Connection (CoCo).

Solution

The county IT department surveyed the available solutions on the market and finally chose ObserveIT. With ObserveIT management and server agents, the county could easily comply with CoCo and offer its citizens 21st century electronic services.


"Suny" A leading American urban medical center:

One of the nation’s leading urban medical centers, comprising of a hospital and colleges of Health Related Professions and Nursing , servicing over 2.3 million people, uses hundreds of servers for its medical records. In addition, with a medical school ranking seventh in the number of graduates who are engaged in academic medicine, the Center also employs many servers for its medical research. The medical center decided to increase the level of secured access to its IT resources, as well as comply with the HIPA requirements.

Solution

Israel’s #1 cellular phone carrier with 2.4 million subscribers manages a diverse IT server environment with over 1,200 servers in their Tel Aviv headquarters as well as in 3 IT hosting centers, running both customer-facing and business management applications. To achieve optimal QoS and operational efficiency, assuring server stability and uptime is a top IT priority. As is common in the telecom industry, Pelephone maintains many custom-tailored 3rd party applications, providing content and value-add services to Pelephone subscribers. The numerous privileged vendors who are remotely accessing these servers, and are responsible for software support and upgrades, further complicate Pelephone’s server management job. In addition, Pelephone's IT personal and project managers are also accessing the servers, creating a major concern to the IT management.

Solution

An global independent fund manager focusing in asset management. The firm offers a wide range of investment products and services, tailored to meet the requirements and needs of its customers. The firm manages over £16bn under management, with offices strategically located in London, Tokyo, Boston, Madrid and Frankfurt. The firm had to comply with the financial markets regulations and also intensify the internal security measures.

Solution

The firm installed management console and server agents from ObserveIT, and hence increased the security measures related to its internal precious data. In addition, all the internal communication and servers access between the 5 branches is now monitored, elevating the internal employees security.


Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank:

Mizrahi-Tefahot is Israel's fourth largest bank by assets and offers a complete range of international, commercial, domestic and personal banking services.
Mizrahi-Tefahot Group operates through 165 branches in Israel (including 33 branches of recently purchased Bank Yahav, mainly specializing in services to government and public employees), and affiliates in Israel and abroad, with branches or representation internationally in eight countries in Europe and the Americas. As the bank is outsourcing its IT, and similar to other Israeli banks, the bank had to comply with the Israel’s Supervisor of Banks enacted Regulation 357 based in part on the Basel 2 Accord and somewhat similar to the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act. With this, the bank has achieved full control on the external access to its most precious IT resources, and met regulation 357. In addition, the Bank's IT managers can easily trace route internal technical issues and troubleshoot efficiently potential resources issues.


Bank Leumi le-Israel:

Bank Leumi, one of Israel's top three banks, together with its subsidiaries, provides banking, financial, and non-banking services in Israel and internationally. The bank provides banking services to households and private customers, as well as small businesses and local authorities. It also offers financial services to middle market companies, construction companies and projects, and private customers residing in Israel and internationally.
The Leumi Group currently has more than 317 branches and representations across 21 countries worldwide including some of the world's leading financial centers. The Leumi Group deals with a diversity of domestic and international financial and non-monetary operation.
In order to prepare the bank for emergency situations, during which the bank employees will have to work as "tele-commuters", the bank has prepared a Remote-Access-Plan (RAP). As part of this ambitious plan, the remotely accessing employees would have to go through a Citrix based gateway, which will guarantee a safe and secure access. Bank Leumi had to record and monitor this activity in order to comply with the relevant regulations.

Solution

Bank Leumi integrated ObserveIT solutions and created an audited gateway. This way, all the remote users' activities would be recorded for future possible audit.
