'One Click' Installation
ObserveIT supports a 'One Click' installation method. This method can be used if you are going to install all ObserveIT Server components on a single server or on two separate servers - Application Server & Database Server. A current installation of a 1000 monitored servers consume less then 25GB database storage per year and is installed on a single database server and a single application server. Before installing ObserveIT please make sure you have access to an IIS server and a SQL Server Database. The Following Image is the ObserveIT 'One Click' Installer, all you need to do is run it on an IIS server and select a valid SQL Server from the dropdown list. ObserveIT installer will check that you meet the minimum installation requirements and install all components.

What ObserveIT installs
ObserveIT is designed to have a minimal installation footprint, requiring few system resources.
The following is a list of objects installed for each of the ObserveIT components:
 Agent: \Program Files\ObserveIT\ObserveITAgent directory structure.
Program executables and configuration files are in the bin subdirectory (25 files, 1.67MB).
Logs are in the Trace subdirectory.
 Application Server: \Inetpub\wwwroot\ObserveITApplicationServer directory
structure registered as a virtual directory in IIS (54 files, 4 subdirectories, total of 1.87MB).
 Web Console: \Inetpub\wwwroot\ObserveIT directory structure registered as a virtual directory in IIS
(262 files, 20 subdirectories, 2.62MG).
\Program Files\ObserveIT\Notification Service directory structure store executables,
configuration and trace files (16 files, 1.14MB) for the ObserveITNotificationService service.
 Database Server: ObserveIT user (SQL Authentication).
ObserveIT and ObserveIT_data databases.
