Installation Overview

ObserveIT is a distributed Microsoft ASP.NET application that runs on Microsoft Windows platforms and uses Microsoft SQL Server to store information. It consists of four components:


Each monitored workstation or server runs the ObserveIT Agent. The Agent sends information about user activity to the ObserveIT Application Server(s), where it is analyzed before being stored on the ObserveIT Database Server(s).

The ObserveIT Web Management Console is a web-based interface for configuring ObserveIT functionality and reporting on ObserveIT captured user activity.
